so....hey guys!!

hey guys!! hi. hello. anyways, nice to be back on deviantart!! honestly, i have missed you guys so much!!!! i was away for the late half of summer, first because i had to leave to go on a trip to california and second because school was about to start for me so i was rushing to edit all of my summer papers. anyways, school has started for me now, and i'm still pretty busy and all over the place with school everywhere so @___@ i'm probably not going to be able to make any more art again for a while, but i'm glad to finally be back!!!

so i'm soooo sorry about my absence!! i meant to write a journal beforehand so you guys would know i was going, but then i totally forgot because i was so careless, and then i got all worried about packing. (and guess what?! i ended up forgetting to bring my stuffed animals. poo. POOEY!!!)

but let me tell you how my summer vacation went!! i went to the west coast, exploring los angeles, san diego, grand canyon, bryce canyon, zion national park, and many many other places. it was so fun!!! i brought some of my doodles with me to the west coast, and placed them in random places, like on the airplane or the hollywood walk of fame. and i'll be showing you some of my favorite pictures from the trip !!!!!!

so here are two bakery/sweet things related doodles!! in case you didn't know, i have a mAJOR sweet tooth, and i spent sooo much time in my trip just trying to look for a nice little place to satisfy my sweet cravings!!! >u< 
the first one is my drawing of sailor moon (you know it, it's on here!!!!) posed in a little chocolate place in a cute little bakery in los angeles called valerie's confections. it's a little bit expensive, but the rose petit fours are DELICIOUS!! plus they even have a cute rose petal candy on it!!!! 
the second is a little doodle of my cinnamon bun girl at olsen's danish village bakery!!! (btw, did you know that this little babe is available as an adoptable, too?!?! omg!!!!!!)



here's a doodle from bryce canyon!!!! bryce canyon was so fun, i think the hoodoos were beautiful!!!

so time for some personal photos!!!! these photos aren't really art-related, they're just photos i took for fun while i was on my trip!!!! ^o^ enjoy them, hopefully they'll make you feel like summer isn't really over and you're partying with me on the west coast. oh, i feel so bad that i didn't update you guys while i was over there!!! it was so awesome >u<




los angeles snapshots!!! i LOVED los angeles so much. it's such a HUGE place tho!!!! i mean, compared to all those cities in the u.s., like boston or new york or d.c., los angeles is bigger by a LOT!!!! and of course, there's so much to explore!!! i definitely can't wait to go back to la someday soon



quick shot from la jolla!!! it's a really nice beach town, and there are TONS of sea lions over here!!! i went on a rock and went pretty close to them and i took lots of pictures with them!!! and of course, i love the beaches in la jolla. the waves are hUGE, which is so fun!! and sometimes a sea lion even swims into the water with us!!! btw fun fact: did you know dr. seuss lived in la jolla???



these are shots from balboa park in san diego!! it's a great place. there are tons of museums, but the best, of course, are their GARDENS!!!!!!!! i loved the desert garden and the rose garden ^.^

mmmm!!! here are two sweet treats i ate on my trip!!!! the first one is from a random german bakery we saw on the road, and it was SO GOOD!!! i do not regret it at all!!! it was like a cake ice cream sandwich, which was so perfect in the sweltering car!!! it even had cherries in it!!! the second is from valerie confections in los angeles. guess which one is the rose petit four i was talking about?!?!? (put it in the comments if you think you know!!! heehee >u<)



shots from santa barbara, california!!! it's an absolutely CHARMING beach town!! ^o^ i even saw this cool banana tree (!) and we ate like this totally crazy crab by the wharf lol. look at it!!! it's so spiky and it was CRAZY HUGE.



highlights from highway route 1 the pacific coast highway!!!!! basically, you just drive on the highway and you're right next to the ocean and you get to see all the water and everything!!! ^o^ so fun!!! i even noticed a little lonely stone and it became our little joke in the car heehee



we were in fresno, california, and we saw a peacock wandering around one of the gardens!!! omg!!! i got a ton of shots of the peacock, but this is by far my favorite.




shots from venice beach!!!! personally, i don't like it too much, because the boardwalk is just TOO weird. BUT, if you wander around the neighborhoods, the houses are so fancy and cool, and of course, i loved looking at the colorful and zany grafitti!!!!! ^o^



views from the plane ride back!!! they're so pretty, but in a way that makes me sad (( i was nOT ready to leave los angeles!!!! lol. but i'm back now with you guys, so that's okay

so yeah!!! that's basically all of it. besides going to california, i also learned how to bake. i made myself a really nice breakfast every morning, like blueberry or banana peanut butter waffles, and even pancake balls!!!!! >o< so in a whole, my summer was great!!!! how was your summer???? tell me in the comments!!!! ^o^
