Autumn Flower Sailor Moon!

yes, yes, i know. WHYYY am i posting something about autumn flowers and whatnot when it is like 8 degrees outside everyday and my feet are freezing off? and i have no school tomorrow because of a snowday?

well, because i was totally inspired by this: strangelykatie.tumblr.com/post… and the minute i saw that i knew i had to draw it with my fav sailor moon galsss!!!!!!!

if only i had seen it at an earlier time tho!!! every time i look at this piece i'm like oh...my god....so autumny!! i think of light jackets (lol), pumpkin pie, pumpkin things in general, halloween, donuts, and cozy autumn mornings. but either way, even though it's not autumn, i guess it's nice to put it out here anyways because a) if i wait till next autumn i will probably think this piece is gross (no kidding, even though i love it so much right now!!!) and b) in this time of desperation and cold, it should be my business to remind you of the good autumn times, right??!?!?!!!!!!

anyways, for the palette for this piece, i just totally used the same one by strangelykatie. which makes me feel strange, a bit, because it's just weird knowing that the hours i usually spend agonizing over color palettes were not here. not here. so, it's a little bit weird. i loved her palette tho so there was really no way for me to improve on it lol (or, in my usual fashion, i could've just added some psychedelic pink, right???)

the flowers on the edges are so cute. they're my favorite. they weren't in my original sketch tho bc i hadn't really planned the whole thing out, and i usually hate having to draw extra things on the computer because i just can't. i'm soo bad. i can outline on the computer and i can color on the computer but i caaaaan't drawwwww ohhhh my god. so i was kind of worried and frantic about how these flowers would turn out, yet at the same time i kind of needed them since my drawing looked so emptyyyy, but really, they turned out fabulous. so i'm super proud of that oh my goood!!!!!! and plus arent they so beautiful??? they look like the perfect finishing touches to a medieval countryside autumn painting lol <3333

oh, and i played around a bit with the outlining on usagi by giving her the dark brown outline :~) i like thta

ANYWAAAAAAAAYS i love this piece sooso osossoos oso oso much and its giving me the serious autumn vibes right now. i want to eat pumpkin spice bread..or something.
